Working Package 3
Work Package 3 (WP3) focuses on creating the Active Citizenship Curriculum and implementing a Train the Facilitators Scheme. Its goals include introducing innovative teaching methods in virtual education for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and fostering collaboration among education stakeholders to enhance their influence on young individuals in various dimensions, such as academic, civic, societal, and individual development. This initiative addresses critical gaps in traditional education approaches by emphasizing interactive learning and enhancing the role of HEIs in shaping well-rounded citizens capable of contributing meaningfully to society.

Working Package 4
Implementation of Virtual Exchanges
The virtual online interactions between the partner countries and institutions are to:
- Promote citizenship and the common values of freedom, tolerance, and non discrimination through education.
- The Curriculum of VirtuEu (presented in WP3) includes an extended series of activities where the participants are requested to use social media to raise awareness to the general public and address important topics related to active citizenship. This, in combination with the other digital tools, will introduce the students to a new and innovative way of participating in educational process, which will be able to reflect on it and provide feedback
- 2.500 students from Albania,Montenegro,Kosovo, and EU States (Portugal,Greece,Germany and others) will participate in the Virtual Exchanges.
- 250 experienced facilitators will be trained on the developed and validated curriculum.
- Approximately 10.000 other students will be receivers of the key messages of the project.
- Development of a network of 50 stakeholders.
Under the VirtuEu project, online facilitated educational activities with students are going to shape and strengthen their attitudes and perspectives on topics of active citizenship and EU values including those of freedom, tolerance, and non-discrimination. On the one hand, the curriculum itself includes topics such as Fundamental Rights, which serve the promotion of freedom, tolerance, and non-discrimination, and on the other hand, the educational process itself will experientially shape the participants’ attitudes to that direction. Participants from different countries and of diverse backgrounds will join the same virtual class, follow the topics together, work in teams, and eventually participate in International Debates.
